HOME AND AWAY: A public artwork for Empire Fields and Plateau Park

In 2016 a playful, useful public artwork will be installed Hastings Park’s Empire Fields and Plateau Park. Seating over 200 people and featuring a playful exit slide, the work references past and present historic structures in the area.

The Vancouver Public Library and City of Vancouver Public Art Program invite you to a talk by Home and Away artists Annie Han and Daniel Mihalyo of Lead Pencil Studio (Seattle) at the Vancouver Public Library, Central branch:

The artists will discuss their practice in public art and architecture and talk about the inspiration for their new artwork for Hastings Park, Home and Away.

A model of the artwork will be on display at the opening of Hastings Park: Empire Fields & Plateau Park on Saturday, July 18th, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  The artists will be in attendance.
